TaleSpire aims to bring an authentic multiplayer Dungeons & Dragons style tabletop role-playing experience to PC’s, complete with dice rolling, board-game styled visuals and Dungeon Masters.
The aim of TaleSpire is to give users an online, digital and graphical way to play classic P&P role-playing games with friends. It gives Dungeon Masters a comprehensive toolset which they can build their own campaign in, building their own virtual tabletop game world and populating it with characters, minions and bosses.
Once a DM has created their campaign they can invite their friends to join and start weaving their tale as they would in a traditional tabletop role-playing game. The DM can tell the story via voice-chat and even pick up pieces to highlight which ones they’re talking about. The other players can move their own characters, carry out actions and attack/defend, using dice rolls to dice to decide their success.
It’s a very impressive digital tabletop role-playing experience that does a great job of recreating the tactile physicality of tabletop gaming and also gives the Dungeon Master complete freedom to weave their story. As close to a real game of D&D as you can get in digital form.
