Tennis Fighters features a fusion of sport and fighting, as you play tennis matches that have the presentation, sound FX and mechanics as a fighting game.
The core gameplay of Tennis Fighters is very much like a tennis game – you whack the ball over the net and attempt to knock it past your opponent. However, the presentation of the game is heavily inspired by fighting games, with you having OTT characters, fighting game inspired audio, special shots and health bars rather than points. In Tennis Fighters you don’t beat your opponents by outsourcing them, you beat them by drawing the most blood.
