The Endless Mission is a very ambitious community driven sandbox game where you can create, play, mash-up and mod all manner of games – from racing game and first person shooters to RTS games or third person platforming adventures!
In The Endless Mission you take control of a character who is invited into a world within our own, where a conflict is emerging between those who shape technology and those who are shaped by it. As you play you’ll be able to follow a story that takes you into a variety of video game genres, unlocking their assets as you play for use in the games comprehensive creation system.
Mixing and modding your own games can be as easy or as complex as you want it to be, with you easily able to mash-up different genres and import assets, or you can delve into the game’s code, screwing with character stats, gravity and more, all in run-time. Once you’ve created your modified masterpieces you can then share them with the community and download, play and remix other player’s creations. The devs promise plenty of variety of genres, with them continually adding more via free DLC.
It’s a great looking game that looks set to offer real freedom of creation to users as they make games that span multiple genres (rather than the platforming game creators we usually get).
