The House at Eston Lake is a well crafted atmospheric puzzle adventure where you piece together events from the past in a highly detailed mansion.
The narrative of The House at Eston Lake isn’t full in pace yet, but it seems to revolve around you remembering events from your life, following your death (or imminent death). The puzzle design is fondly reminiscent of The Room games, with each puzzle being unique, logical, physical and you often required to pay close attention to small details in the environment to help you crack them.
It takes around 30 minutes to play through the current build of The House at Eston Lake and it really impresses with it’s highly detailed environment and wonderfully inventive puzzle design throughout. The puzzles are logical and challenging, but rarely frustrating, and there are plenty of “Eureka” moments as you figure out how different clues relate to puzzles. A fantastic little puzzle room well worth locking yourself into.
