The Inanimate Mr. Coatrack is a very funny Lucasarts-esque point and click buddy comedy adventure where you attempt to find body parts for your reanimated monster.
In The Inanimate Mr. Coatrack you take on the role of a Dr. Frankenstein-esque Doctor who has figured out how to successfully reanimate the dead. However he’s still missing a few vital body parts and may need the assistance of his reanimated monster to find them.
The only brain you could find was from a Mr. Argyle Coatrack, a very chatty fellow with a raunchy sense of humor and a weakness for the ladies (which may have been the cause of his fatal fall from a 3rd story window). Needless to say Mr. Coatrack takes to being reanimated without batting an eye and is more than happy to lend a hand when needed (though at the moment he only has one hand to lend).
Taking around an hour to play through, The Inanimate Mr. Coatrack is a fantastic little point and click adventure with clever puzzle design and a delightfully silly premise. The pixel art animation is superb, but what really makes the game is the wonderfully over the top voicework and Carry On movie style double-entendre filled comedy. There are some truly hilarious moments and it’s a real joy to spend some time in the company of the Doctor and his reanimated companion. Highly recommended.
