The Last Hex is a single-player card based RPG adventure with roguelike elements where you use your cards to slay monsters, traverse a procedurally generated hex-grid land and test your mettle in a final showdown.
In The Last Hex you start your adventure at the left hand side of a procedurally generated map that’s 5 hexagonal tiles wide from top to bottom, but spans a vast distance from left to right. Your aim is to traverse the land from left to right and win the final showdown. The whole map is visible from the beginning, so you can plan your route and avoid any nasty surprises. There are multiple character classes to choose from, each of which have their own unique stats and starting cards.
As you make your way through the land you’ll face off against different types of enemies in 1v1 tactical card based duels. Each enemy has their own unique decks so you can anticipate the types of card they’ll play and counteract them. As you make your way through the world you’ll raise your character’s stats via events and collect new cards and equipment (which can increase your stats). Your stats affect how powerful your cards are, so the higher your stats, the more damage you’ll do in combat.
It’s a fun looking game that blends tactical CCG battles with single-player focused roguelike RPG adventuring. Sign up for the Alpha to be one of the first to check out The Last Hex.
