The Magister is a card-based murder-mystery RPG where you use a mixture of psychology and turn-based tactics to investigate a murder case.
Currently in development by Nerdook Productions (creators of Vertical Drop Heroes and Monster Slayers), in The Magister you take on the role of a Magister who is assigned by the Emperor of your country to investigate the suspicious demise of a fellow Magister in a rural village. You have two weeks to investigate, question suspect and solve the murder, with each playthrough being a randomly generated mystery with different events, clues and murderers.
During your investigations you’ll use psychology to try and get your suspect to divulge useful information via conversation. However, if things start to get a little heated then you’ll do battle in tactical turn based combat where the deck you’ve built will dictate what actions are available to you.
