The Parrot That Summons Demons is a very weird and unsettling FMV horror visual novel where your new pet parrot summons demons.
In The Parrot That Summons Demons you follow the story of a family who has recently come into the possession of a parrot who was once the pet of an evil satanic worshiper. It seems that the parrot is now causing some horrifying occurrences in the house and over the course of the game you’ll be able to experience it from the viewpoint of the whole family.
The Parrot That Summons Demons is more interactive than most visual novels – your choices generally matter and it even has an inventory system that allows you to perform different actions depending on what you have on your person. The demo build takes around 20 minutes to play through and follows the story of Samantha, the teenage daughter of the family. It’s quite a strange experience, but things REALLY get weird when the dad turns up, with some scenes that will really turn your stomach.
It’s a very unique take on the visual novel genre with a grimy retro aesthetic and a truly bonkers narrative where you never know what to expect next. That parrot has a lot to answer for!
