The Peephole’s Chronicles: Weird John is a bizarre and surreal point and click psychological horror adventure where you are a paranoid wreck who has barricaded himself away from the rest of the world.
In The Peephole’s Chronicles: Weird John you take on the role of the titular John – a man suffering from blackouts and a crippling paranoia that leaves him terrified of everyone outside his front door. The aim of the game is to survive until Christmas, but to do so you’ll have to be very careful about who you open the door to and even look into purchasing some security to get rid of people who just won’t say no.
The current build of The Peephole’s Chronicles: Weird John seems to ramble on a bit and seems like you can easily miss quite a few of the sub-plots if you’re not careful. It is a fascinating experience though, with a great visual style, lots of oddball characters to meet and some wonderfully weird surprises. A paranoia-filled curio with a lot of promise.
