The Riftbreaker combines base-building strategy with action-RPG combat in a sci-fi survival adventure as players attempt to establish a portal back to Earth from a distant alien planet.
In The Riftbreaker players control Captain Ashley Nowak, piloting the advanced Mecha-Suit “Mr. Riggs,” on a one-way mission to planet Galatea 37 to establish a portal back to Earth. Players must construct elaborate networks of mines, refineries, power plants, and research facilities while defending against increasingly hostile alien creatures disturbed by human colonization. Tower defense mechanics blend with hack-and-slash mech combat as thousands of enemies assault your expanding bases.
Galatea 37’s diverse biomes offer unique resources, weather challenges, and alien lifeforms to research. The procedurally generated world ensures fresh experiences across campaign, survival, and sandbox modes. Extensive customization options let players adjust difficulty, enemy spawns, and resource abundance to match their preferred playstyle.
The Riftbreaker originally released back in 2021, but the devs are working on a big update which introduces co-op multiplayer, which is what the playtest is for. Sign up for the Beta to explore, fight, build and survive with some buddies.
