The Salvation Project is a darkly humorous PS1 styled first person horror game where you feel your sanity slipping away as a muppet teaches you how to ward off Satan.
Created for the HPS1 Summer of Shivers game jam, The Salvation Project starts off fairly innocently, with you watching a television show hosted by a Kermit-esque muppet called Seth. Today Seth is talking about fears, specifically the fear of Satanism. Is your house secure from Satan? Maybe you should go and check!
Taking around 20 minutes to play through The Salvation Project does a great job of balancing humor and horror, and it even has a surprisingly poignant ending. The voice acting and the writing for Seth are a particular highlight, with the little (fairly inanimate) muppet being infused with lots of personality and charisma. It’s no wonder your character will do whatever he says! Highly recommended.
