The Sigil is a tense first person horror game set in a morgue that’s home to a mysterious psycho and a creepy shadow entity that stalks you.
In The Sigil you awaken inside one of the cold body storage cabinets in a morgue. After kicking your way out of there you find that you have a mysterious sigil on your arm and that the morgue is empty. Well, empty except from yourself, a mysterious psycho with a plastic bag on his head and a strange shadow entity. You need to avoid them while you figure out how to make your escape, and there’s also the small matter that the sigil on your arm appears to be a curse of some sort…
The current build of The Sigil is still early in development so has a few rough edges and only really has hints of a plot, but it’s a very tense experience nonetheless. The shadow entity and the bag-head psycho are both pretty scary and the game does a great job of making you use the environment to your advantage as you make your escape. It’ll be interesting to see where the story goes from here – when you wake up in a morgue, you know you’re in for one hell of a bad day!
