The Tarnishing of Juxtia is a beautiful 2D pixel art action RPG soulslike where you journey through two devine kingdoms filled with corrupted saints, tarnished creatures and ancient war machines.
In The Tarnishing of Juxtia you embody the final creation of the goddess Juxtia, who must travel through the remains of two once-great kingdoms that have been ravaged by the Tarnishing. On your adventure you’ll meet friendly NPCs, fight all manner of monsters, collect gear, weapons and other useful relics, and you’ll battle huge bosses.
The demo build of The Tarnishing of Juxtia features a sizeable chunk of the game and takes 1 to 2 hours to play through. There are lots of weapons to try out, each with their own unique stats and attacks, there are lots of secrets to discover and there are two challenging boss fights to deal with.
There are lots of soulslikes around at the moment, but The Tarnishing of Juxtia really does feel different. The visual style is very unique, the world is interesting and the combat feels great. A Soulsike that focuses on beauty rather than darkness. Highly recommended.
