Questioning what lurks beneath childhood’s surface, in The Temple of Children you delve into the dark secrets children hide behind seemingly innocent games like hopscotch. The game combines unique hand-drawn 2D art with stop-motion animation to create an unsettling atmosphere inspired by boogeyman stories, urban legends, and creepypasta folklore.
The demo takes around 20 minutes to play through and explores how children first experience colors, sounds, and the world around them, while making your way towards a mysterious temple. It’s an impressive game with lots of atmosphere, well crafted puzzles and stunning hand drawn artwork. A very beautiful nightmare. Highly recommended.
