Through The Fragmentation is a strange and surreal first person adventure where you search for a mysterious “Fragmentation” that could be the only means of escape from the maze-like block of buildings you find yourself trapped in.
Through The Fragmentation is a sequel to (the also excellent) The Hidden Fragmentation, which we’d also highly recommend checking out (but it’s not necessary to have played it to enjoy Through The Fragmentation). In the game you take on the role of an agent of the Bird People, who is tasked with finding a mysterious hidden fragmentation. You have no idea what the fragmentation actually is, but the surrounding office blocks may hold the answers.
The current build of Through The Fragmentation takes around 20 minutes to play through and sees you exploring a labyrinthine office block, chatting to strange bird people, looking for clues and solving puzzles. Much like the previous installment, the narrative is deliberately ambiguous, there are often multiple different ways of solving a problem and there are lots of odd little easter eggs to discover if you snoop about.
The strange world of the Bird People is a fascinating place to explore. It’s packed full of quirky characters and odd little details to discover and it’ll be interesting to find out more about the mysterious fragmentation and the lore of the Bird People. Highly recommended.
