Beta sign ups are now live for Torchlight Frontiers, which plans to being Diablo-esque dungeon crawling action RPG gameplay to a persistent, dynamically generated shared game world, set in the same universe as Torchlight 1 and 2.
Torchlight 1 and 2 garnered a lot of praise on release and are still some of the most highly regarded Diablo-like action RPGs around. It’s been six long years since the release of Torchlight 2, but finally players will be able to venture into the Torchlight universe again with Torchlight Frontiers, which introduces a dynamically generated, persistent shared game world to the franchise.
Details are still pretty scarce about how the persistent shared world will affect the gameplay, but players will still be able to team up with friends to hack and slash their way through ancient ruins, lost civilizations and dark dungeons in search of riches and loot. Torchlight Frontiers is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC, but the sign up page doesn’t mention which platforms the Beta will be held on so it’ll most likely be PC only.
