Turbo Sloths is a carnage-filled racing game where you drive rocket-powered steam-rollers through racetracks filled with deadly hazards and robotic defenses.
Previously featured an Alpha Beta Gamer during the Beta sign up, Turbo Sloths is a fast, futuristic and chaotic racing game that takes place on an alien planet where people race huge multi-ton rocket-propelled steamrollers (called Turbo Sloths). These Turbo Sloths may be heavy and cumbersome, but they’re very fast, heavily armed and can take a good deal of punishment. That last point is particularly pertinent as tracks are strewn with smashable obstacles, hazards and automated defenses that shoot at you.
The current Turbo Sloths demo build allows you to play for two hours and has a good amount of content, with various race types, a good selection of Turbo Sloths and a narrative-driven campaign mode. It’s a hell of a lot of fun, with a great sure of speed and momentum, beautiful visuals and huge amounts of on-screen carnage. Rocket-powered steam-rollers do sound like an absurd idea but after playing Turbo Sloths you’ll be wondering why no one has done it before.
