Unleaving is a beautiful and surreal hand-painted narrative-driven puzzle platforming adventure that explores themes of perception and meaning.
Each chapter of Unleaving is based on a different theme as a young child is drawn into an imaginary world. The gameplay blends platforming with a little physics-based puzzle solving, and often results in your untimely death if you fail. The demo sees you exploring a countryside landscape across two different seasons, the first is bright, colorful and vibrant, while the second is cold, barren and dilapidated.
It’s an interesting game with some stunning hand-painted visuals and it does a great job of relaying emotion through influences colors and style. It feels a little like Limbo, but with a whole lot more color and emotion.
