Viscerafest is an incredibly fast paced and brutal retro run ‘n gun FPS where a psychopathic mercenary rip ‘n tears her way through an army of aliens to collect enough bounty and marry her boyfriend.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer back in 2018, Viscerafest is a brutal retro FPS that takes place in the year 3796 and sees you stepping into the blood-drenched shoes of Caroline – a bloodthirsty mercenary who’s trying to earn enough cash to buy a wedding ring and marry her true love. It turns out a big fat bounty has just popped up, an alien warlock called Cromune, but he’s got an entire army guarding him so you’ll have to go through all of them first!
The gameplay in Viscerafest is fast, brutal and tons of fun. You do collect a nice variety of powerful weaponry as you make your way through the levels, but ammo is scarce, so it’s best to conserve it when possible. Thankfully you have a nifty dash move and your melee punches can literally rip an alien body to pieces so it makes for a very viable option when trying to conserve ammo.
The demo build features five challenging levels full of alien fragging fun and a nice amount of secrets to find. You can’t help but feel a little sorry for the aliens as you rip ‘n tear your way through the spaceship – you are definitely the aggressor in this situation and they’re just defending their ship. But that wedding ring’s not gonna pay for itself!
