Vulture is an old school vertical shooter with a twist – it features a block-based construction mechanic, allowing you to build up your ship block-by-block (and get parts shot off block-by-block too!)
Drawing inspiration from classic shooters like Strikers 1945, Raptor and Raiden, Vulture features old school (non-bullet hell) vertically scrolling shoot ‘em up action. Your ship, and the larger enemy ships are entirely modular though – made up out of little building blocks that can be added and blasted off.
In Vulture you start with a small ship that you can build from a selection of parts that you slot together, including weaponry, armor and shielding. This allows for a variety of different ship builds will allow you to tailor your ship to your play style. As you progress you collect more blocks that allow you to build yourself up from a little cruiser into a hulking behemoth – be careful though, the bigger you get the bigger a target you are and the more chance you have of parts getting blasted off during combat!
It’s a fun looking game that offers a great twist on the classic arcade vertical shooter. A build ‘em up Shoot ‘em up well worth checking out.
