Welcome is a breathtakingly beautiful audio visual experience where a spark of life journeys through a vast abyss.
Created for the 2019 Epic Megajam, Welcome sees you guiding glowing orbs of light through a vast abyss. A voice guides you along the way and is very keen to get you to your destination as quickly as possible as you take in the breathtaking scenery. It is possible to get lost, but if you follow the trail of lights laid out for you then it’s not too hard to navigate. You do have to keep an eye out for shadowy Wraiths though, keen to extinguish your light – you need to try and avoid them and boost past them to safety.
Welcome may only take around 5-10 minutes to play through, but afterwards you feel like you’ve just finished an epic journey. It’s a wonderful experience with fantastic audio/visual design as you embark on your journey of creation. Highly recommended.
Note: The game tells you to use WASD to move, but it’s much easier just to use the mouse.
